Iran’s president Hassan Rouhani announced that rising oil and gas production was one of the top priorities of his administration.

Referring to oil industry priorities, Rohani said swift development of South Pars gas field phases 12, 15, 16, 17 and 18 were the main topic on the agenda. He expressed hope the phases could come online in next months, Iran’s SHANA news agency reported.

Citing to Iranian minster of petroleum remarks, the president said it is expected gas production to rise by 30 million cubic meters per day before the end of the current year to March 20, 2014.
