AES Sparrows Point LNG and Mid-Atlantic Express have decided not to proceed with plans to build a pipeline to deliver natural gas to southeast Pennsylvania from a proposed LNG import terminal at Sparrows Point in Baltimore, Maryland.
The two companies said in a request that “ the FERC vacate the Section 3 authorization and Section 7 certificate granted to AES in the December 17, 2009 order issued by the Commission in the captioned dockets pursuant to the Natural Gas Act. ”
To date, no construction activities have been undertaken, and thus there are no facilities in service, they added.
