Royal Dutch Boskalis held a naming ceremony of two OSD designed multi-functional vessels on 15th of January.

The vessels NDURANCE and the NDEAVOR were named at the Keppel shipyard in Singapore.

Offshore Ship Designers (OSD) co-operated with Boskalis on developing the basic design, carried out the model testing programme, as well as the noise and vibration and impact and damaged stability analyses.

Working through its Shanghai office, OSD also assisted the shipyard with detailed design input and with the general day-to-day building process, the company stated in an e-mail.

According to the information from Boskalis’ website, the vessels have a completely new ship design and are classified by Lloyd’s Register.

Both of the vessels are 99 meters long, and have breadth of 30 meters.

Built at the Samsung C&T Corporation – ZPMC – Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co.Ltd, the vessels have an accommodation capacity of 98 persons.
