RasGas made a strong presence at the 7th International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) held in Qatar’s capital, Doha.

On the opening day, Nafez Bseiso, Chief Venture Officer featured on a panel discussion titled ‘The Future of Integrated Project Management in a Cyclic Environment’ where he explored the different drivers for project owners and contractors and the way forward for creating win-win situations.

On the closing day, Hamad Mubarak Al-Muhannadi, Chief Operations Officer, was a panelist discussing ‘ Delivering on Evolving Stakeholder Expectations. ‘ Hamad spoke about the importance of human capital and attracting and retaining talent.

RasGas was also represented by 15 presenters who shared their expertise on various technical topics ranging from health and safety to drilling optimization and gas processing. They drew on their experience working on the Company’s impressive portfolio of operation facilities including the recently-operational Helium 2 facility – the world’s largest – and the 10.3 billion USD Barzan Gas Project.

This was the conference’s third time to be hosted in Qatar since it was first held in Doha in 2005. This year it attracted more than 7,000 industry professionals from all over the world to share experiences and knowledge in a highly complex and technical field. This was RasGas’ seventh consecutive participation in the event for which it was a principal sponsor.
