By loading a container, with about 17 tons of liquefied natural gas at the Dutch Gate terminal , Titan LNG, its’ partner company Rolande LNG and E.ON Global Commodities reach an important milestone in developing the German LNG market.
“ The successful test loading of an LNG container, by Titan LNG and E.ON Global Commodities, creates new flexible, pipeline-independent gas supply possibilities for Germany “, says Niels den Nijs, Commercial Director of Titan LNG.
The new truck loading possibility at the Gate terminal has a logistical advantage compared to the LNG sourcing from Zeebrugge (Belgium).
“ Supplying LNG to Germany from Rotterdam enables us to offer a competitive full-service solution for the industrial and shipping sector,” comments Stella Kraus, Titan LNG Business Development manager .
LNG is around 15% more economic than heating oil or diesel and reduces CO2, NOx and SOx emissions by 30%, 50% and 30% respectively.
