Offshore WIND’s photo of the day: Ballast Nedam Offshore installing 47th wind turbine foundation at the Butendiek Offshore Wind Farm, which marks the company’s 500th installed foundation.
Ballast Nedam Offshore is contracted to design, supply and install 80 foundations at the German offshore wind farm, with Schmidbauer subcontracted for the heavy lifting and site transport at the base port in Esbjerg, Denmark. The installation works started on April 1 and on June 10 monopile no. 47 was installed.
Butendiek offshore wind farm is located in the German Bight, 32 kilometer west of the German island Sylt.
