The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has informed that preliminary production figures for December 2014 indicate an average daily production of about 1 916 000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate.
This is 45 000 barrels per day (about 2 percent) less than in November 2014 .
Total gas sales were about 11.1 billion Sm 3 , which is 0.9 GSm 3 more than the previous month.
The average daily liquid production in December was: 1 441 000 barrels of oil, 352 000 barrels of NGL and 123 000 barrels of condensate. The oil production is 6 percent below the NPD’s prognosis for December and 7 percent below the oil production in December last year.
The production from the Brynhild field started in December.
The Balder, Draugen, Ekofisk, Fram, Fram H-Nord, Gullfaks Sør, Oseberg Sør, Skuld, Ula and Visund fields had reduced production in December due to technical problems.
The oil production in 2014 was about 1 percent above the NPD’s prognosis and about 1 percent higher than 2013.
The total petroleum production in 2014 was about 218.6 million standard cubic meters oil equivalents. (MSm 3 o.e.), broken down as follows: about 85.9 MSm 3 o.e. of oil, about 23.6 MSm 3 o.e. of NGL and condensate and about 109.0 MSm 3 o.e. of gas for sale.
Final production figures from November 2014 show an average daily production of about 1.488 million barrels of oil, 0.474 million barrels of NGL and condensate and a total of 10.2 billion Sm 3 saleable gas production.
