Russian gas giant Gazprom set up a new department to be headed by Pavel Krylov.
The department will be in charge of implementing the Gazprom corporate unified technical policy in search, creation and introduction of state-of-the-art solutions, equipment and materials acknowledged worldwide, including substitutes of their non-domestic counterparts, with a view to secure the company’s technological independence, Gazprom said in a statement.
Vitaly Markelov, deputy chairman of the Gazprom management committee will supervise the new department.
