Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas for the month of January came to about 1,654.677 million m3, up 4.2% to that in January 2014.
In the residential sector, volume totaled 511.778 million m3, up 1.2% from January 2014 while in the business sector volume totaled 286.21 million m3, almost equal (up 0.3%) to that in the same period last year.
In the industrial sector, volume totaled 632.467 million m3, up 9.8% from January 2014, due to the increased demand for power generation.
Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 224.221 million m3, up 1.8% from January 2014.
