SIAD Macchine Impianti revealed the positive results of a performance test carried out on a compressor for BOG service.
The final destination of this unit will be an LNG terminal in North-Eastern China, the company said in a statement.
The compressor in question is an HD model two-stage compressor with an installed capacity of 900 kW.
A special cryogenic operational test was carried out using nitrogen. This investigated functional performance at operating conditions of 12.8 bar pressure in discharge and an inlet temperature of -160° C . The test involved a cryogenic storage tank for LIN and an atmospheric vaporisation system.
The planning and construction specifics fully comply with principal international standards, and in particular with regulations concerning exportation and installation in China.
SIAD Macchine Impianti installed roughly 300 compressors in China alone.
