German EPCS (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Supervision) solution provider TGE Marine Gas Engineering GmbH has supervised the successful gas trials of three new gas carriers in the last several weeks.

The 30,000 cbm LNG-carrier Hai Yang Shi You is the world’s largest type C bilobe tank equipped carrier and has been handed over by Jiangnan Shipyard to the owner CNOOC. The gas trial has been conducted at a Chinese LNG terminal. The carrier shall operate at the Chinese coast line and deliver LNG to Hainan island.

The second carrier was the MT Navigator Umbrio, the last in a series of five 21,000 cbm LEG-carriers delivered by Jiangnan Shipyard to Navigator Gas. The Navigator Umbrio has been put into operation in Korea.

TGE Marine also supervised the gas trials of the first 12,000 cbm LEG-carrier Happy Albatros, which has been delivered by STX to Ultragas Europe. The shipyard will deliver 6 ships in total to the Unigas pool members Ultragas, Sloman Neptun and Schulte group.
