Gazprom Export’s auction for the supply of 3.2 bcm of natural gas will feature 39 companies which successfully passed the prequalification procedure.
The companies proved to be eligible will be able to take part in the biddings scheduled for 7, 8, 9 and 10 September, Gazprom Export said in its statement.
The auction envisages gas supplies during the Delivery Period Winter 2015/2016 to several delivery points in North-West Europe, at the choice of the final customers.
As reported earlier, Gazprom decided to carry out the auction to test a new mechanism of gas sales in Europe, which is not an alternative to the system of long-term contracts.
