Malaysia’s Icon Offshore, a provider of offshore support vessels, has received a letter of award to provide one utility tug vessel to an oil company.

In its Bursa Malaysia filing on Friday, Icon did not name the oil company, but only indicated it will provide it with the vessel to support the production operations and well services activities.

Icon will provide the services for a period of three years with an extension option of one year and an additional one year. The contract is effective since October 21, 2015.

The vessel provider said the contract is valued at approximately RM22 million ($5.1M), exclusive of the extension period.
