Dutch heavy lift and marine transportation company BigLift Shipping has recently delivered a wellhead production topside module for an offshore gas field in Myanmar.
Using the Happy Star heavylift vessel,the company loaded the module in Ulsan, Korea, and took it to the Yadana offshore field, where SapuraAcergy’s S3000 vessel then lifted it off and installed it onto its offshore foundation.
The Yadana gas field is an offshore gas field in the Andaman Sea, operated by the French energy company Total. The field is located about 60 kilometers offshore to the nearest landfall in Myanmar. Gas from the field is supplied to the local and Thai markets.
