According to Reuters, the cockpit voice recorder was retreived on Thursday following an extensive serch in the Mediterranean Sea, where the airplane crashed.

The Airbus A320 crashed en route from Paris to Cairo on May 19 with 66 people on board.

Prior to the discovery of the black boxes, the investigators found the wreckage of the plane.

The authorities informed that the recorders were damaged, and are being examined.

The procedure of analysing the recorders will take several weeks before the investigators can provide information what happened to the MS804.
