Malaysian oil and gas services provider SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad has changed its name to Sapura Energy Berhad with effect from March 24, 2017.
The name Sapura Energy Berhad was approved and reserved by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) in February 2017.
As the company informed, the new name was registered by CCM on Friday.
Prior to the change by CCM, the approval has been obtained from the company’s shareholders.
The company believes that the new name will better reflect its global corporate identity and further enhance its brand image.
