Seismic player Shearwater GeoServices has signed a one-month contract with an undisclosed client for a 3D marine acquisition survey offshore North Africa.
The contract will start promptly and will be performed by Polar Marquis seismic vessel while en-route from India to the North Sea, the company informed on Thursday.
According to the company, the awarded contract fits well with the vessel positioning, adding no steaming deviation and optimizing the high quality backlog utilization.
Shearwater’s COO, Peter Hooper , commented: “In combination with the successfully completed ONGC contract and the recently awarded TGS Crean contract, this award ensures continuous employment for the Polar Marquis from December 2016 through to the end of the 3rd quarter 2017.”
