Norwegian subsea and marine seismic vessels player GC Rieber Shipping said it has been cleared of charges made by former staff of its two subsidiary companies.

Namely, GC Rieber Crewing AS (GCRC) and GC Rieber Shipping AS (GCRS), both subsidiaries of GC Rieber Shipping, were sued last year by 17 ex-employees of GCRC .

Their employments were terminated when the Group decided to liquidate the internal crewing company GCRC.

According to GC Rieber, Bergen District Court ruled in favor of GCRC and GCRS, with each of the parties being liable for their own legal costs.

The ruling may be appealed within one month, the company stated.
