ITPEnergised has combined its business with Glasgow-based specialist electrical engineering consultancy for the renewable and low carbon energy industries Xero Energy.

The combined business now comprises over 50 staff based in London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol and internationally, according to the ITPEnergised.

The staff provides environmental, grid, electrical and engineering services in the UK and overseas to various sectors, including energy as well.

Jonny Clark , Managing Director of ITPEnergised, said: “This merger strengthens our growing UK business and international offering, providing much greater opportunities for our combined staff. Xero brings a very strong track record in onshore and offshore renewables and expert grid and electrical engineering skills.’”

Nigel Scott , Managing Director of Xero, added: “ITPEnergised brings a reputation for high quality technical advisory and environmental consultancy services across a range of sectors, both in the UK and internationally, where the business has grown rapidly over the last 5 years. All of us are excited to be joining forces, offering a wider range of expertise and expanding overseas.”

To remind, ITPEnergised is leading a consortium that has recently launched a low-cost dynamic positioning (DP) barge which is expected to significantly improve the commercial viability of the wave and tidal energy generation sector.

Beforehand, the company joined another consortium led by China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation whose aim is to deliver a 450kW tidal stream turbine by the end of 2019 for the Chinese state-owned power company China Three Gorges.
