Lamprell has held a steel cutting ceremony in the UAE for jacket foundations for the Moray East offshore wind farm project.

Lamprell will fabricate 45 out of approximately 100 jacket foundations required for the wind farm, the company informed through social media.

Lamprell secured the fabrication contract for the jacket foundations in December 2018.

All fabrication work will be performed in Lamprell’s Hamriyah and Sharjah yards in the UAE.

The 950 MW wind farm is being developed by Moray Offshore Windfarm East (MOWEL) which is a joint venture company owned by Diamond Green Limited (33.4%), EDPR (33.3 %), ENGIE (23.3%) and CTG (10%).
