SeaBird Exploration, a provider of marine acquisition for 2D/3D and 4D seismic data, has received a letter of award for a 3D survey in Asia.
SeaBird said on Thursday that the survey would start at the end of the first quarter. It is expected to be completed in the second quarter of this year.
The company will use a third party vessel and equipment for this survey as it seeks to optimize its capacity against all contract opportunities currently seen in the region.
In conjunction with the LOA, Seabird will also enter into a frame agreement with the customer, under which further work may be awarded to SeaBird.
