Oil and gas company Beach Energy has appointed a new chief operating officer (COO) of the company.
Beach Energy said on Monday that Ian Grant was set to take the role of chief operating officer.
Grant brings over 25 years of experience in the energy industry, having held senior leadership and executive roles in operations, projects, drilling, and supply chain functions.
Most recently, Grant was the COO for Quadrant Energy and vice president of production operations for Santos based in Perth.
Apart from the work he did for Quadrant and Santos, he also has North Sea experience and has worked in Europe and Australia with companies such as Mobil, ARCO/BP, and Apache.
Regarding the appointment, Beach Energy managing director and CEO Matt Kay said: “ We are thrilled to welcome someone the calibre of Ian to our executive ranks. Ian is joining Beach at an exciting time as our company continues its focus on growth, safety, and cost discipline ”.
According to the company’s statement, Grant will join Beach on 20 July 2020 following his relocation from Perth.
