Swedish company CorPower Ocean is looking to expand its ‘world-class’ team of ocean energy experts with several new positions up for grabs.

Key opportunities within CorPower Ocean are related to instrumentation, automation and procurements engineers, plus technical business developers and more.

“Working at CorPower Ocean you will be part of a world class team, determined to make big impact. We are on a mission to power the planet with clean energy from ocean waves. We offer a high degree of autonomy and flexibility, combined with great personal responsibility,” the company said.

CorPower Ocean recently unveiled its first commercial-scale wave energy converter – the C4 – alongside the new CorPack concept providing the building blocks for future utility-scale wave energy farms.

CorPower C4 will ultimately form part of a four-system wave array off the coast of Aguçadoura, Portugal, creating one of the world’s first grid-connected wave farms.

With 300kW power rating, the new device is said to represent the world’s most compact wave energy system in relation to power output.

The launch comes as the wave energy developer prepares to deliver its flagship HiWave-5 Project in northern Portugal, with ocean deployment planned later this year.
