IKM Testing UK, an integrated solutions provider within the IKM Group, has got hold of a new offshore assignment with Aberdeen-headquartered Dana Petroleum (E&P) for a floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) unit working in the UK sector of the North Sea.

Thanks to a significant new offshore contract, the firm will deliver shutdown support services on Dana Petroleum’s FPSO Triton , which is producing oil and gas from the Bittern , Guillemot West , North West , Gannet E , Evelyn , Clapham , Pict , and Saxon fields tied back to the FPSO via subsea facilities comprising a series of pipelines and manifolds in the UK Central North Sea, at Block 21/30, approximately 193 kilometers (120 miles) east of Aberdeen.

Marc Davidson , Shutdown Manager at Dana Petroleum, noted: “IKM Testing’s experience in offshore shutdown delivery and strong focus on safety and quality aligns with our operational priorities for the Triton FPSO. We see this as a strategic partnership focused on protecting asset value and maintaining safe and efficient operations.”

The three-year fixed-term agreement, which includes extension options, will see IKM Testing provide a comprehensive scope of offshore shutdown services, including vessel entries, valve and platform supply vessel (PSV) replacements, engineering modifications and general outage support.

Barry Summers , Regional Director at IKM Testing UK, commented: “Our quality-led approach, underpinned by experienced personnel, strong governance and rigorous controls ensures asset integrity is protected while minimising downtime and cost exposure.

“Securing this contract is a proud milestone for the team and a testament to the standards we set in every project we undertake. We look forward to working with Dana Petroleum on this project.”

This deal is perceived to further strengthen the company’s position as a trusted late-life asset management partner on the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS). Dana has operated the FPSO Triton since 2012.

The joint venture partners are Dana Petroleum (52%), Serica Energy Mistral (46%), and Waldorf Production UK/ Waldorf Petroleum Resources (2%).
