Borr Drilling, an offshore drilling player with its corporate base in Bermuda, has won more work for its rig fleet offshore West Africa, Nigeria, and the United Kingdom (UK).
Borr Drilling has landed new assignments for three of its premium jack-up rigs. The company’s Norve rig has received a binding letter of award (LOA) from an undisclosed operator in West Africa.
This commitment, which is slated to begin in mid-December 2026, includes a firm scope of three wells with an estimated duration of 245 days, keeping the rig committed into August 2027. The deal also includes priced options with an estimated duration of 175 days.
Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company has exercised a one-well option for the Natt rig in Nigeria. According to the current well program, this job is anticipated to keep the rig contracted with the customer into early August 2027.
The Joro rig has been awarded a contract with an undisclosed operator for accommodation activities in the UK. This European contract is expected to start in mid-October 2026.
With an estimated firm duration of 60 days, the assignment is expected to enable the rig to stay on duty into December 2026. The deal also entails priced options with an estimated duration of 56 days.
These deals come weeks after Borr Drilling disclosed multiple contracts and extensions for its rig fleet offshore Vietnam, Malaysia, Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), and the Netherlands.
