U.S. oilfield services company Weatherford International has secured a two-year extension for several strategic frame agreements with Norwegian state-owned energy company Equinor, as well as an offshore completions award.
Weatherford reported on October 8 that under the extended agreements it shall provide its integrated completions portfolio to improve operational efficiency, enhance well performance, and maximize production throughout the life of the well.
Furthermore, the company has been appointed as the primary provider of completion systems for the Statfjord and Oseberg licenses on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).
“We are pleased to continue expanding our collaboration with Equinor through these agreement extensions and the award of this important completions scope," said Girish Saligram, Weatherford’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
"The award reflects the strength of Weatherford’s differentiated completions portfolio, proven execution in the North Sea, and commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality operations. By combining innovative technologies with deep technical expertise, we look forward to helping Equinor drive greater efficiency, optimize production, and maximize value across its offshore assets.”
