AGR Consultancy names Aberdeen head

Business & Finance

AGR Consultancy, a provider of recruitment and consultancy solutions to the upstream oil and gas industry, has named Steve Combe as the new head of its Aberdeen-based manpower Consultancy business.

AGR said that Combe’s immediate focus would be on strengthening Consultancy’s relationships with the company’s clients and ensuring that AGR remained ‘well informed and placed to add value to clients’ businesses.’

Combe has worked in the oil and gas recruitment sector in Aberdeen for around ten years in several roles across a variety of consultancies in the city. He first joined AGR in 2010 and has since worked in different senior positions before taking the helm of the business this summer.

Ian Burdis, executive vice president of AGR UK and West Africa, said: “Steve has been with us for a number of years and is absolutely the right person to lead our Consultancy through the ever-changing oil and gas environment. I look forward to seeing the UK Consultancy business grow under his leadership.”

AGR’s global Consultancy team is currently delivering drilling and well maintenance manpower for projects in South America, Africa and the Norwegian and UK North Sea.
