AGR TRACS Training Launches E-Learning Tool

AGR TRACS Training Launches Online Training Tool

AGR TRACS Training has launched a unique e-learning provision for E&P clients around the world thanks to a partnership with Aberdeen-based digital media company Wildhoney.

As the trend for blended learning, a combination of online and face-to-face training grows across the industry, AGR TRACS Training has gone one step further with the launch of an e-learning platform that can be tailored to each client.

This technology, developed together with Wildhoney, enables AGR’s training providers to develop bespoke blended training with e-learning content in-house, cutting out the need to use a third party .

AGR TRACS Training, which delivered 183 courses across six continents for 29 clients last year, has tailored three e-learning packages to supplement face-to-face and ‘Open Air’ events so far – E&P Foundation, Subsurface Technical Fundamentals and Petrotechnical Learning for Commercial Staff.

Mark Bentley, Training Director at AGR TRACS Training, said: “Thanks to our relationship with Wildhoney we are the first and only training provider with the ability to develop bespoke e-learning packages for clients in-house, allowing us to significantly cut cost and turnaround time.

“Our first three courses will be used by around 300 trainees around the world this year. Armed with positive feedback from clients, we now plan to increase our blended learning offer.

“There is growing demand for e-learning to compliment face-to face learning in the oil and gas industry. Online platforms are much more accessible than a bland request for trainees to complete pre-reading.

“AGR has an edge over other providers because we can generate our own e-learning product. We are also the only training provider to focus exclusively on bespoke courses for clients.”

Craig Rennie, owner at Wildhoney, said: “We worked closely with the team at AGR TRACS Training to develop this new platform from scratch. It was great to work with a team so accomplished and respected in their field. AGR’s excellence in writing and delivering E&P training courses combined with our ability to build e-learning platforms for oil and gas meant we were able to deliver a product that met AGR’s vision which they can easily tailor in house.

“I believe that AGR has set a new standard for blended learning with this product.”
