The office will serve as a contributor to Air Products’ engineering, procurement, and construction work throughout EMEA.

It is the company’s first project delivery office on the European mainland, and Air Products said that the choice of The Hague as the location for the office is strategic as the Netherlands and, in particular, the province of South Holland is an important region and a gateway to other European regions.

Joost Parmentier, General Manager, Project Delivery EMEA at Air Products, said: “From this new office in The Hague, we will develop and execute various engineering and construction projects in the Netherlands and in the rest of Europe. As Air Products, we are a first mover and involved in several projects such as building a new hydrogen plant in Rotterdam. These projects make the energy transition a reality. I am proud that we will now do the same with our teams from this new location in The Hague.”

Aleisha Woodward, Deputy Chief of Mission, US Embassy in the Netherlands, commented: “This office and its focus on energy transition projects exemplifies the importance of close cooperation between our two countries and other countries in the region to tackle climate change.”

Saskia Bruines, The Hague Deputy Mayor and Alderman for Finance, Culture, and the Economy, stated: “The Hague welcomes companies which are working on the sustainable development goals. Air Products significantly contributes to the energy transition globally and forms a great addition to The Hague’s energy and engineering cluster.”

Air Products is working on several energy transition projects in the port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands, including an import terminal for renewable ammonia, a second liquid hydrogen plant, and a hydrogen fueling station for trucks.
