In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Tuesday, December 11 Alam Maritim said it had been awarded a contract for the Provision of Pan Malaysia underwater services for petroleum arrangement contractors – Package A by ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia.

The duration of the contract is five years, starting from August 29, 2018. The contract is on a “call-out” basis and its total value will be contingent upon the actual work orders and the scope of work performed by Alam.

In a separate statement on Wednesday, December 12 Alam Maritim said it had won a contract for the provision of Pan Malaysia underwater services for petroleum arrangement contractors by Hess Exploration and Production Malaysia.

The duration of this contract is also five years, starting on August 30, 2018. Just like with Exxon, the contract with Hess is on a “call-out” basis and the total value of the contract will depend on the actual work orders.

It is also worth mentioning that Alam at the end of November was awarded a contract for the provision of same services as with Exxon and Hess by Petronas and EnQuest. Effective from August 13, 2018, this five-year contract is also on a “call-out” basis.

In recent news, Alam Maritim Resources in September ventured into subsea services market through a joint venture company with AME Subsea. This includes a complete work program of underwater, structural and topside inspection, repair and maintenance, particularly in the international markets.
