Alam Maritim to work on Vestigo’s offshore pipeline

Malaysia’s Alam Maritim Resources Berhad has been awarded a contract for the provision of engineering, procurement, construction, installation and pre-commissioning of pipeline system for Tembikai non associated gas (TNAG) development offshore Malaysia by Vestigo Petroleum.

The contract started on March 5, 2019, and it is targeted for completion in the fourth quarter of 2019.

Alam Maritim said on Monday that the Tembikai Non Associated Gas pipeline system will be installed from the new TNAG unmanned wellhead platform via a 60 km, 12” pipeline and fibre optic control cable.

According to the company, the rigid pipeline will be the first in offshore Malaysia installed using mechanical connectors, and specifically the NOV Tuboscope Zap-Lok connection and tied into to existing processing facilities on Berantai FPSO and the well head platform (WHP) with flexible risers connected to the rigid pipeline with diverless connections.

The total value of the contract is approximately $59 million.

It is worth mentioning that the first steel cutting ceremony for the fabrication of Tembikai non associated gas project took place on February 28, 2019, at Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering West, Pasir Gudang, Malaysia.

MHB was awarded the work order for Tembikai non associated gas facilities in October 2018. The fabrication activity is expected to be completed within four months of the first steel cutting ceremony with sail away date targeted in the third quarter this year. Upon completion, the project’s topside and substructure will be delivered to operate at the Tembikai field located approximately 150 kilometers offshore Terengganu, Malaysia.
