Archer chairman resigns

The chairman of offshore services provider Archer Limited, Ørjan Svanevik, has resigned from the company’s board of directors.

Archer said on Wednesday that it would proceed to elect a new chairman of the board in due course.

Svanevik was appointed to Archer’s board of directors back in May 2015. He is an employee of the Seatankers Group and a director of Seadrill Limited.

He was previously a managing director of the investment advisory firm, Oavik Capital. Before Oavik, he was head of M&A and a partner at Aker ASA, and COO and EVP of Kværner.

Svanevik also worked nearly a decade in corporate advisory and investment banking. He started his career at Schlumberger, where he held various international financial management positions. Svanevik has an AMP from Harvard Business School and an MBA from Thunderbird.
