AXSMarine Again Wins Best Marine IT Solution Award

For the second year in a row, AXSMarine has been awardedthe Best Marine IT Solution. Robert Jervis of Multimodal, and Ray Girvan of IBJ, presented the award to Olivier Vigneron, AXSMarine’s technical director, to salute their AXSDryproduct, which is widely used by dry bulk professionals for commercial chartering information management.

AXSDry, the twice awarded “best IT solution” allows hundreds of companies and thus thousands of users to analyse their commercial chartering information consistently and with ease, it also includes access to extensive embedded databases. During 2013, seamless navigational features were added, complemented with new enhanced modules such as Bunker prices tracking, improved Distance Table, Idle ship function among others. One of the most highly acclaimed features is its embedded AIS information showing almost live vessel positions at ports/terminals and generally providing the user a better market overview. AXSMarine sources its AIS data under commercial agreement from Vessel Tracker and exactEarth, both leading providers of AIS information.

Upon receiving the award, Olivier Vigneron explained that “being awarded twice is a really great payoff of our dedication! The 5th Annual IBJ Awards, held in Paris prestigious Salle Wagram, gathered hundreds of guests from the shipping industry, who enjoyed a French Can Can ambiance thanks to a live performance on stage. Created by the leading magazine International Bulk Journal, and hailed as the most sought-after prizes in the bulk industry, the IBJ awards salute outstanding achievements by individuals and companies.
