Bad Weather Hinders Huntington Field Production

Production from the E.ON operated Huntington offshore oil field, located in the UK sector in the North Sea, has been reduced, Noreco, a partner in the field has reported.

Voyager Spirit FPSO

So far in January reported Noreco share of production from the Huntington field is approximately 3 200 barrels of oil equivalents per day. The lower than expected output has mainly been due to the continued adverse weather across the North Sea.

At the beginning of the month the Huntington production rate was reduced for nearly one week. From 15 January production was again significantly reduced and then shut in, due to adverse weather resulting in delays to offloading the oil cargo tanks from the Voyager Spirit FPSO to the shuttle tanker. The cargo tanks have now been off-loaded and the shuttle tanker has departed the field. Production is expected to resume shortly.
