Bahrain closes in on LNG project construction

Bahrain’s National Oil and Gas Authority revealed its plans to further develop the country’s oil and gas sector. 

Speaking at a conference opening in Bahrain, Minister of Energy Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza said the authority is in the final stages of awarding the construction of the liquefied natural gas project with a capacity of 400 million cubic feet with options for expansion to 800 million cubic feet.

He added that the NOGA intends to increase the production capacity of Bahrain National Gas by 350 million cubic feet of associated gas.

Banagas operates two gas-processing trains with a total feed gas throughput of about 300 million cubic feet per day.
