Canada: Dominion Diving Renews Contract with ExxonMobil for Sable Offshore Project

Dominion Diving announces the renewal of their five year contract with ExxonMobil to carry out subsea support services for the Sable Offshore Energy Project.

The scope of work will employ approximately 17 members of Dominion’s staff, and will involve using the FMV 40, an ROV system designed specifically for Sable’s unique offshore environment; capable of operating at depths up to 1000 meters. Dominion Diving will conduct IRM programs on the subsea assets and interfield flowlines.

“This is in fact a very significant contract for Dominion Diving as it shows ExxonMobil’s interest in supporting local businesses, local suppliers, and local resources,” says Matthew Lohnes, President of Dominion Diving Ltd.

Robin Lohnes, Dominion Diving’s CEO, also added that it is a really solid example of how local Nova Scotian businesses are capable of fulfilling the high demands for the offshore work environment, and their ability to compete on larger, more challenging tasks.

“Dominion Diving has held a presence in the Sable Offshore Oil & Gas Fields for nearly 17 years, and looks forward to continuing success moving forward,” said Dominion Diving on its website.
