Cheniere Energy chief sells 150,000 shares

Charif Souki, CEO of US LNG player Cheniere, sold 150,000 shares of the company’s stock on the open market in a transaction dated September 15.

The shares were sold at an average price of US$54.24 for a total value of $8.1 million, according to an SEC filing.

Souki now directly owns 3,750,089 shares of Cheniere’s stock, valued about $203 million.

Cheniere is developing two LNG export plants in the US, namely the Sabine Pass and the Corpus Christi project.
