China’s LNG imports drop in September

China, the world’s biggest energy consumer, imported 1.39 million tons of liquefied natural gas in September, down 8.1 percent compared to a year earlier.

China’s LNG imports dropped for  the second consecutive month in 2014. It imported 1.58 million tons of LNG in August.

The country paid about $10.702/MMBtu for the LNG imported in September, customs data says.
