COSL acquires new Platform Supply Vessel

China Oilfield Services Limited has taken delivery of the newly purchased platform supply vessel – HYSY613.

Equipped with a main-turbine power output of 6,000 horsepower, as well as a DP2 dynamic positioning capability, HYSY613 also has an overall length of 75 meters and gross tonnage of 3,300 tonnes, and belongs to the same model as 2 other platform supply vessels (HYSY611, HYSY612) that were purchased by the Group in 2013.

Apart from being able to carry bulk materials and drilling fluids, HYSY613 is also equipped with a 150 cubic-meter tank to supply Methanol / ethylene glycol to the platform it serves. This vessel is expected to start operations in South China Sea in mid-April.

Another platform supply vessel of the same model that was purchased together with HYSY613 is expected to be delivered to the Group by the end of April.
