DOF Names Pipelay Vessel Skandi Olinda

DOF Subsea has held a naming ceremony in Brazil for its pipelay support vessel (PLSV) Skandi Olinda.

Skandi Olinda is the final of four vessels, owned by a joint venture between DOF Subsea and TechnipFMC.

According to director Subsea Engineering at TechnipFMC, Yvan Giacomelli, the naming ceremony was held last week.

The vessel, along with the other three, namely Skandi Açu, Skandi Búzios and Skandi Recife will work with Petrobras on the Campos, Santos and Espírito Santos basins.

The vessels were ordered following an eight-year contract from Petrobras awarded in 2013.
