Dolphin returns two seismic vessels

Dolphin Geophysical, a supplier of marine geophysical services, has received a Notice of Time Charter termination for two seismic vessels.

The two vessels, Sanco Swift, built in 2013, and Sanco Sword, built in 2014, are owned by Sanco Shipping.

Sanco Swift is under a five-year charter with Dolphin that started after its delivery from the yard in 2013, while Sanco Sword’s five-year charter with Dolphin started in 2014.

Dolphin says it is presently evaluating the validity and effect of the notice in respect to the present difficult market situation.

Sanco Sword is a 3D seismic vessel delivered from Kleven Maritime’s Myklebust Yard in Norway.

Sanco Swift is a purpose built, 3D seismic vessel delivered from Myklebust Verft in 2013. The vessel is of ST 324 CD design from Skipsteknisk AS in Ålesund.

According to Marine Traffic, Sanco Swift is located offshore Singapore, Malaysia, while Sanco Sword is in Timor Sea.
