Eidesvik Offshore in double charter win

Shipping company Eidesvik Offshore has been awarded two new charter contracts for its vessels.

Eidesvik said on Friday it has been awarded a contract extension with Chevron North Sea for the platform supplier Viking Princess. The extension is direct continuation on existing contract for one-year firm plus options.

Furthermore, the company has been awarded another SOV contract with Siemens Wind Power for the Acergy Viking. The vessel will start on a six-month contract plus options for Siemens Wind Power in German sector as a service operation vessel. The contract will start in June this year.

Both vessels are then committed throughout 2017.

Eidesvik CEO, Jan Fredrik Meling, said: “The new contract awarded to the Acergy Viking could not have happened without the excellent operational performance on existing contract for Siemens.”

Meling also added: “We are also very pleased with the extended thrust from Chevron. This could not have happened without the quality performance from both crew and vessels.”
