EM&I, a provider of asset integrity, inspection and repair & maintenance services to the oil, gas and energy industries, has appointed a new chief executive officer (CEO) of the group.

EM&I announced the appointment of Pat Lawless as the CEO of the group on Monday, January 22.

Lawless has been a member of the EM&I team for five years through his role as COO. He is now taking over the CEO position from Danny Constantinis who currently heads up the board as an executive chairman.

In a recent statement, Constantinis, who is also the founder of the EM&I Group, said: “[…] I am confident that this is the right time to hand over the day to day management to a new and highly experienced CEO and his newly formed leadership team.

“We have been planning this move for some time which will enable me to focus on strategic growth and key relationships with clients, regulators, Joint industry projects (JIPs), and joint venture (JV) partners.”

Lawless joined the company in March 2013. In August of that year, he accepted the full-time role of chief operating officer and the role of director of EM&I Limited. He also currently holds a directors role at Practicus, a position he has held since 2011.
