Excelerate’s floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) Excelerate Sequoia, with its LNG storage capacity of 173,400 cubic metres, is providing regasification services at Bahia LNG. Specifically, the terminal has a regasification capacity of up to 700 million cubic feet per day.

Previously, Brazilian state-owned oil company Petrobras and Excelerate signed the lease contract for the terminal. This was after a competitive international tender process. Through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Excelerate expects to sell natural gas in this newly opened market.
