Farstad sells AHTS Lady Guro

Norwegian offshore vessels owner Farstad Shipping has sold ‘Lady Guro’, one of its Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels, to an undisclosed client.

According to the company, the sale of the vessel has been conducted on behalf of the wholly owned subsidiary Farstad Shipping Pte. Ltd. in Singapore.

Farstad said that the delivery of the vessel to the new owner took place on Wednesday, October 28, 2015. The Norwegian shipping company added that the vessel was sold at book value.

The company recently laid up three AHTS  vessels and two PSVs, leaving around 100 people without work.

Lady Guro is a 61.9m long and 15.5m wide AHTS. It was built by South Korean Sekwang Heavy Industries Co., Ltd, formerly known as INP Heavy Ind Co. Ltd, in 2001. The vessel can board 26 persons, and it has 403m² of deck space.

As the latest Marine Traffic data shows, Lady Guro is currently located in Singapore.
