FERC receives numerous comments on Jordan Cove LNG project

U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission received additional comments on its DEIS for the Jordan Cove LNG project.

Several environmental groups have submitted petitions and comments on the draft environmental impact statement by FERC opposing the Jordan Cove LNG export terminal at Coos Bay in Oregon.

There were however comments supporting the project submitted by North America’s Building Trades Union and the West Slope Colorado Oil & Gas Association urging FERC to complete the final environmental impact statement for the project as soon as possible.

West Slope Colorado Oil & Gas Association stated that impacts from the proposed action will be negligible, the positive economic benefits in communities working to produce upstream natural gas supplies for the terminal are considerable.
