Fire Breaks Out at Petrobras’ Platform. Two Injured

Two workers were injured Thursday after a fire broke out on a Petrobras-operated floating production platform at the Marlim field in the Campos Basin, offshore Brazil.

Petrobras said that the workers sustained light injuries. One of the workers on the platform sprained his ankle, and another one inhaled smoke.

Production from the platform, the P-20, has been suspended , and Petrobras said that a team of experts was on board the platform to investigate the cause of the incident.

At the same time, Petrobras has deployed a team of engineers which are working on getting the platform back to full operation.
