Under the contract defined as “very large”, meaning it is valued between $100 million and $200 million, DOF will deliver inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) services for a duration of up to three years firm, plus three annual options, to Equinor.

The work includes subsea operations covering IMR activities throughout Equinor’s assets on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). DOF shall also deliver its full suite of project management, engineering, procurement and logistical solutions.

The purpose-built IMR vessel REM Inspector will undertake the work, equipped with the company’s module handling system (MHS) and three remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).

Project preparations have already started, and DOF will run the project from its Bergen office. Offshore startup is tentatively planned for April 2025.

“We are extremely proud to have secured a contract from Equinor to provide IMR activities. This is a substantial and important contract win for DOF, and a testament to the expertise, experience and capability of our team. We look forward to contributing to the success of Equinor, and working together in the years to come,” said Mons S. Aase, DOF’s CEO.

Earlier today it was reported that DOF Subsea, in a joint venture with TechnipFMC, secured a contract with Petrobras for a pipelay support vessel (PLSV). The contract, worth between $200 million and $300 million, will see the deployment of the 142-meter-long PLSV Skandi Vitória.
