Gallery: CIMC delivers two semi-sub heavy lifters

China’s CIMC Raffles today delivered two 50,000 dwt semi-submersible heavy lift vessels.

The vessels have been delivered to two separate owners,  United Faith Group and Zhenhua Heavy Industries, respectively.

With the concept design completed by United Faith Group and basic design completed by SDARI, construction was accomplished by CIMC Raffles.

The two semi-submersible heavy lift cargo vessels have been named Red Zed I and Red Zed II, respectively.

Classed by ABS, the vessels have total length of 216 meters, molded breadth of 43 meters, depth molded 13.35 meters, and design speed of 13.5 knots.

The vessels will be managed by Red Box Energy Group, founded by several former members Fairstar Heavy Transport, a company acquired by Dockwise in 2012 through a hostile takeover.
