Gazprom Export’s November UGS volumes exceed 5 bcm

In November, Gazprom Export’s volumes of active gas in the European underground gas storages have exceeded 5 bcm.

This is 1.5 times more than the level reached in the middle of November 2013. Gas injections continue in view of the coming winter season, the company said in a statement.

The maximum daily output of UGSs used by Gazprom Export will exceed 80 mcm in the coming winter.

Underground gas storages provide sustainable operational mode and serve as balancing mechanism of the European energy system in the periods of peak demand, the company added.
